Tournament Rules

 

I     General

A.   These will serve to be the official rules for Associated Fantasy’s 2018 King of the Hill Tournament (KioH)

B.   For anything not covered in these rules, please refer to the League Settings page at League website;  League will be hosted on NFL.com

C.   All arbitration of League Rules to be arbitrated solely by Tournament Coordinator (TC)

D.   TC may maintain their own team in the tournament, OR may be listed as a “Co-Owner” of a team, in the event TC is listed as a “Co-Owner” it will only be for the purposes of running the tournament and TC will have no actual control over the team they are Co-Owner of

E.   Should any unforeseen event arise not covered explicitly in the rules, TC will exercise final judgment

1.    Any TC judgment made outside of specified rules that involves TC’s team will cause TC’s team to be removed from Championship eligibility

2.   This rule applies ONLY if TC is a team owner.  If TC is a Co-Owner, that team will not be effected by this rule

F.   Tournament rules are subject to adjustment before entry fees have been paid, and will be marked ‘LOCKED’ once any changes are final

G.   If, for any reason, there is a discrepensy between rules listed in these rules and settings listed on the League Settings page of the host site, settings page will supercede

II     Format

A.   16 Teams; Ladder Schedule, 17 Week Standings Race

III     Fees/Payout

A.   Entry fee for KioH will be $20.00 (US) per team

B.   Payout pot will total $320.00 (US)

1.   Tournament Champion (1st place) will win $200.00 (US)

2.   2nd Place will win $100.00 (US)

3.   3rd Place will win $20.00 (US)

C.   Entries and payouts will be handled through LeagueSafe.com

D.   TC will set deadline for payment of entry fee once tournament is full

E.  Prize money will not be disbursed until the Friday following Week 17 of the NFL Regular Season

IV     Scoring

A.   Offense: AF Rally

 

B.     Defense:  AF Nickel

 

 

V     Rosters

A.   Rosters will be AF Formations Roster Set

VI    Draft

A.   The 2018 Draft will be live online on Tueday, September 4, 2017 at 8:00pm EDT

1.   Draft will be serpentine style, 13 rounds in length

3.   30 seconds are allotted for each pick

4.   Draft order for each round will be randomized by the draft order randomizer tool at FFToolbox.com prior to draft

VII     Free Agency/Trades/Cuts

A.   Free Agency

1.   Free Agency is open from immediately following the draft through to the end of season with Waivers in effect

B.   Waivers

1.   Waiver order will be revolving waivers, never reset

2.   Initial Waiver Order will be inverse order of first round of the draft

3.   Waiver period is 2 days

C.     Transaction Limits

1.   None

D.   Trades

1.   Trading is not allowed in the Tournament

VIII     Schedule/Championship

A.   KioH is a 17 week, ladder schedule, standings tournament in which 1st place by standings will be named Champion

1.   There are no playoffs

2.   There is no championship match

B.     Week 1 Match-ups will be based on draft order of the first round of the draft

1.   Position #1 vs Position #2  #3vs#4  #5vs#6  #7vs#8  #9vs#10  #11vs#12   #13vs#14  #15vs#16

C.     Weeks 2-17 Match-ups will be based on standings rank for the week of the match-up

1.  #1vs#2  #3vs#4  #5vs#6  #7vs#8  #9vs#10  #11vs#12  #13vs#14  #15vs#16

2.   Match-Ups reset weekly based on standings

3.   Hosting site will control standings rank

D.  Champion

1.   Team ranked #1 in the standings at the conclusion of Week 17 will be named Champions

2.   Teams ranked #1 (Champion), #2, and #3 will win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize mone

3.   Hosting site will control standings rank

IX     Tiebreakers

A.     Individual Match-ups are allowed to end in ties

B.     Hosting site will control all standings tiebreaking

1.   Tiebreak setting on host site will be “head to Head Record”

X     Special Rule

A.     Participation in tournament is limited to one entry per household/IP address

B.     After all tournament slots are filled but before draft order has been established, NFL.com will be contacted to verify that all participants registered with tournament are originating from different IP addresses to verify that no participant is registered with multiple teams

C.     Multiple teams originating from the same IP address will result in immediate expulsion of all teams involved

D.     It is recommended, that before the draft, each individual team verify for themselves that all teams are from different IP addresses; this can be done through the contact NFL tool (found in the FAQs), simply send an email, include league ID number, and ask NFL to verify that no teams in the league originate from the same IP address
